Materials for Community Groups, Yuh Figet Yuhself

Earlier this month Peckham Platform announced Yuh Figet Yuhself, a co-led programme with artist Beverley Bennett and local community groups.

To begin the programme, Peckham Platform delivered materials to support participants from Golden Oldies, Leaders of Tomorrow, and Peckham Park Baptist Youth Group in our upcoming workshops, exploring language and heritage.

Kits include notebooks and journals, colour pencils, felt tips and paints, soil for planting, seed balls, and silver clay kits.

As the first artistic commission from the Peckham Partnership, Yuh Figet Yuhself seeks to ‘tilt the mirror’ on negative perceptions of Peckham by platforming those who often struggle to be heard in the process of regeneration.

These activities are made possible by the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, Local Trust Creative Civic Change and the City Bridge Trust.
