NewsWe are looking for an Interim Executive Director (with Fundraising and Development Focus)

Please note that the deadline for this role has now passed.

Peckham Platform is looking to recruit an Interim Executive Director with excellent fundraising/development skills to lead the organisation and increase income generation during this exciting period of development for the organisation.

This is a senior leadership position for an initial period of six months maternity cover for current Executive Director Emily Druiff, with possible extension, reporting to the Chairman of Trustees. It is a significant role that includes upholding, developing and implementing fundraising strategies across a range of income sources, developing new business in close consultation with the Trustees and Fundraising Subcommittee; as well as leading the organisation with the Gallery and Finance Managers and the Learning Officer.

Peckham is a vibrant and exciting community that is going through some dramatic changes. Many of these bring opportunities, but care needs to be taken to ensure that existing communities are heard, represented and benefit.

Peckham Platform has a history of working within these communities to create extraordinary socially engaged work. We work with artists such as Barby Asante, Nikolaj Larsen, Sonia Boyce with HE partners such as Goldsmiths, Birkbeck and Royal Holloway and have close partnerships with organisations including London Borough of Southwark, Arts Council England, Tate, Create London, The Showroom and others. We believe that there is no art without people and our work is dedicated to connecting people, place and art.

Our activity includes a gallery programme, pan-London work, as well as the development of a network and archive for socially engaged artists and we expect to grow and develop in all of these areas.

This is an exciting time for the gallery, we are developing plans that will involve a new building, increased reach and broadening our impact – hence the decision to focus our interim director role on development and fundraising.

We are looking for someone who has passion, insight and relationships that will help us to respond to the opportunities around us. You might be a Director of development looking for your first Executive Director role, a Head of fundraising who wants to broaden your experience or an existing Executive Director who is looking to work in a more dynamic and exciting context.
