Peckham Platform Finance Manager
Peckham Platform is a leading creative and educational charity located in the heart of Peckham, with a dedicated focus on meaningful and accessible contemporary art projects for the local community. At the heart of our mission, is our belief that there is no value in art without people, and we engage with the people and organisations of Peckham with all of our work, fostering a positive sense of place with this kind of positive cultural experience. Working alongside these communities to identify issues that matter to them and can be addressed through art, we provide an expansive platform for different voices and debate, bringing contemporary social practice alive. We have excellent relationships with social arts practitioners across the UK, and have strong ties to some of the capital’s most prestigious Higher Education institutions.
We are looking for a finance manager to join our small but passionate team, as we continue to expand and build on their already existing success. The role works closely with our Executive Director and our finance Trustee, and is responsible for overseeing and administering our day-to-day finances as well as:
· Production of quarterly management accounts and forecasts
· Cash flow reports, and assisting with yearly budget and 3 year business plan
· Managing the control of assets
· Developing and implementing new and efficient systems
The role is a key member of our team, providing financial advice and assistance across a range of areas for us, and in return we offer support and development with the assistance of our finance trustee. We are looking for an accountant who is at minimum qualified to AAT technician level, and ideally who has experience in managing cash flow and producing management reports, budgets and forecasts. It’s a fantastic opportunity to be involved with all aspects of our finances, and our finance trustee will help support and develop you further.
The role is ideally suited to someone recently qualified who is looking to put their theory into practice with a supportive organisation, an established part time accountant who wants to work for a community focused charity, or someone potentially looking to return to part time work who would appreciate the flexibility we can offer around hours.
