Young people and children are integral to our work. We see it as their right to be active participants and play an active part in creating the narrative of our activities and new gallery due to open in 2025, as well being a part of creating the future of Southwark and Peckham.


Embedded in our projects and exhibitions we provide a range of activities for young people and children of all ages to learn, participate and engage with our programme.

Our learning offer currently consists of delivering Art Awards with local schools, and our Youth Platform for young people aged 16-22.

Schools

We currently work with local schools to deliver Arts Awards. This programme supports the whole school environment, it activates the art provision and has a positive effect across the whole school community. Our team provideds the school new recourses, creative ideas, artists, technical skills, materials and wellbeing providing everyone to think and make creatively – both school management, teachers and the young people taking part in the Arts Awards.

We run Arts Awards with schools as it gives young people the inspiration and tools to grow their arts and leadership talents: it’s creative, valuable and accessible. Young people are directly able to implement their ideas and given a platform to share them beyond the school walls and gain valuable experience of working with a local cultural organisation.

We currently run Discover, Explore and Bronze level Arts Awards and are always on the lookout for other groups who are interested in achieving an Arts Award.

    Artist Talk: Melanie Manchot, Twelve
