Horniman Museum

6 July – 1 September 2019

As an area of London undergoing rapid change, south London is the testing ground for a new vision of urban life, created by young people from Peckham Platform and the Horniman Museum with muf architecture.

The project explores how cities could better serve their communities and enhance our shared culture – opening up a space for exchange and experimentation through collage, model-making, animation and a change of scale.

As we peer through archways in the plywood installation, we momentarily inhabit an imaginary fragment of a future city envisaged by today’s young people, prompting individual thoughts on urban design and the nature of living in cities.
