Community Day
On Saturday 22 March 2025 we ran a family-friendly day packed with exciting activities and creative experiences for all ages including an artist-led looming workshop with Zethu Maseko. This free event was part of our ongoing Memories for the Future programme, exploring community stories, creativity and shared experiences.

Curated Gatherings with Nabiséré Nicole
An immersive weekend of reflection, storytelling, and connection through the lens of personal style, culture, and memory. Led by interdisciplinary artist and designer Nabiséré Nicole, the gatherings explored the layered narratives of African and Caribbean diasporan communities, honouring the wisdom, care, and cultural identity embedded in personal histories.

Memories for the Future: Social Architecture
On Tuesday 17 September 2024 we ran a symposium as part of our Memories for the Future project. The symposium with Blacks Britannica (Dir. David Koff, 1978), a powerful and previously banned documentary that serves as a focal point for examining how urban planning and architectural practices have impacted these communities.

Memories for the Future: Social Gathering
August 2024’s Memories for the Future: Social Gathering was an afternoon of family friendly creative activities with music, tastings and sharing stories on Peckham Square.

Memories for the Future: Young Creatives Workshop
On Monday 8 July 2024 a meditative Monday workshop at the Old Waiting Room explored the processes of making and memory. Artists Barbara Majek and Tyreis Holder guided this experimental textiles session for young people aged 18-25.
